Membership Reception

Membership Reception

So glad to be back in town after the ARC Conference - More on that tomorrow…

Today I am looking forward to meeting all the new DC Metroers as well as those who are interested in Exploring Membership to DC Metro Church.  Each month I look forward to people finding their home church to be “planted” in.  It is so good when God brings us to a place that we can call home and begin to grow in him.  Psalm 92:13 talks about being planted in a local church and that our lives will FLORISH once we are planted in His House.

Those of you that are coming or thinking of coming - tonite is gonna be a great night and I cannot wait to see you there…

Dr. God: “Prescriptions From The Great Physician”

Dr. God:

Looking forward to a New Series Starting This Weekend - Here is my thoughts…

I am pretty pumped considering - I have been working on this series for over a year.  I remember standing outside of the Alexandria Library on Commonwealth one March afternoon in 2008.  I was on the phone praying for someone in our church because of the major stress that they were dealing with in their life.  The phone call ended with the other person feeling encouraged, but it led me to another conversation with God about What causes the STRESS in our lives???  His revealing of the answer to that question has been a year long process /study / download that I have turned into a series called “Prescriptions From The Great Physician!” or Dr. God for short…

We will kick it off this weekend as we allow God to reveal to us, His Prescription for WORRY!

If you worry, or if you know someone who worry, or if you think that you dont worry - This Sunday at DCMetro Is For YOU!!!

Go God - See You Sunday!!!

P. David

PS - Dont forget to invite your friends who worry or who you worry about…

Thankful

Thankful

Just thinking this morning about how proud I am of the DC Metro Church Family.  Yesterday (Easter) you guys pulled off the Greatest Sunday we have ever had (in my opinion).  There were more people than any other Sunday - Experiencing a Powerful Life with us.  There were also more people committing their lives to Christ than we have ever experienced as a Church family…  GO GOD!  Thank you for being a church that is so much more than a family, but rather a testimony that the mission of Jesus “To Seek and to Save that which was lost” is still very ALIVE, and very WELL here in the DC Metro Area - Especially at DCMetroChurch!!!

Together we truly are on our way to “Building A God-First Culture throughout the DC Metro Area.”

Honored to be part of the family…

Go GOD!

David

Looking forward to DR. God!!!  I need some Prescriptions from the Great Physician too…

Those Feet Were Made For…

Those Feet Were Made For...

Ok - So I have been walking alot lately…  A few weeks ago I had this great idea to get rid of my car and before I knew it, it was gone…  After a bit of mourning (I know silly, but I had her for like 5.5 years…)  She was about 8 years old and in car years that is like 95 years old - so it really was a good thing that she is in a better place now…  BTW - Medical bills for cars can be worse than they are for people if you know what I mean…

Never-the-less, I have had a new found love for my feet.  Yes that is right, my feet.  I have never been particularly fond of them until I started spending so much extra-time walking on them.  Not that I did not walk on them before, its just that I have really been using them alot lately to bring the rest of me around town…

I have noticed in God’s Word that He also loves our FEET.  In fact, I came across this scripture this morning and thought I would pass it on to you.

Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news,  who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “God reigns!”

Ok - so I know what you are thinking “My Feet Beautiful?” (Don’t Worry You Are Not Alone - I feel the same…)  However, God’s Word tells us that as believers our feet are just that —> Beautiful!!!  He says this because of what we bring with us:

  1. They Bring Good News!
  2. They Proclaim Peace!
  3. They Bring Good Tidings!
  4. They Proclaim Salvation!
  5. They Say “God Reigns!”  (translation - GO GOD!)

Maybe my feet were not really intended to bring me around town anyway…  Although I am sure that their purpose covers that area - After reading this passage - my thought is that - maybe my feet are intended to BRING something much more important around town than just me…

So wherever your feet have taken you today, or wherever they are carrying you right now, just know - God has declaired that you have “beautiful feet” and Those Feet Were Made For - Bringing Jesus Wherever You Go!!!

Hope You Are Having A Great Easter Week…

Go God!

Easter Week

Easter Week

I have been running around hanging up Easter Egg Hunt flyers for this Saturday and I have to say - I am so pumped that it is Easter Week!  I hope that you are too…  For it was on this week 2009 years ago that Jesus lived up to His biggest promise by Raising from the grave and allowing us too to have a New Life with Him.  Although Easter Egg hunting is a BIG deal for the kid in all of us, I know (I love me some egg huntin too!) it really does not fully represent what Easter is all about - In fact, it is about something much different…  IT’S ALL ABOUT LIFE!!!  and not just LIFE, but a POWERFUL LIFE one that we get to join in and experience with Jesus…   He wants us to experience power in our everyday life - not from ourselves, but from Him…

I love what Paul Says in: Phil. 3:10 (GN) “All I want is to know Christ and experience the Power of His resurrection.”

Looking forward to experiencing a Powerful Life With YOU This Sunday!

Feeling Worn Out?

Feeling Worn Out?

I have got a pick-me-up for you - TONIGHT!

I don’t know about you, but it has already been a trying week for me…  Don’t worry - as my son Issac would say “I’m Good!”  Jesus always has a way of picking me up and putting me back on my feet again - afterall that is what He does, right?

I have a solution for you, a mid-week pick me up…  Kinda like that extra stuff that you have the smoothie guy put in your smoothie whenever you are having a rough day (I think they call it “pep-upper“).  Tonight we have an opportunity at DC Metro to come together and get just that - a Pep-Upper…

If you are feeling down and out or maybe just running on low come on out tonite and get your recharge on at our all new 1st Thursday (REMIX!) Service at the King St. Metro Stop… Directions Click Here

See You Tonite

Pastor D.

PS - Until then check out this verse - I think it is for you - Matthew 11:28-30

1st Thursday (Remix!)

1st Thursday (Remix!)

Hope you all are having a great start to your week.  I was so pumped and honored to be with all of you on Sunday…  It is always great to get to see all the wonderful people of DC Metro Church as we believe God for BIG Things Together!  You guys Rock!

With that said, we have another reason for all of us to get together this week…  This week we will have a re-kickoff to an ALL NEW Midweek Service - 1st Thursday (Remix!)  (Awwwwhhh Yeahhhh!) I am a huge fan of our once a month Mid-Week service and now it has just gotten that much better - WITH A NEW LOCATION…  You will also see some additional worship added to the flow of the night…  Not to mention the new facility is SWEET!  It is located right at the King Street Metro Stop in Alexandria (So as you are heading home on the Metro - You can just make a pit stop along the way…)  You can find all the details by going to www.dcmetrochurch.org or by clicking here.

It starts at 7pm and I know that you are in for a blessed time as we kick-off Easter Week with COMMUNION this Thursday Night!

See You There…
