I know questions of church open? or closed? are rolling around in everyone’s head so let me assure you right now – Church Is On! awww yeah… just a side note: We never cancel church (mostly because we love it!) but also because the theater management has assured me that the parking lot will be cleared for services and the sidewalks will be nice and salty!
So no worries – just be sure and bundle up! This party is gonna be a cold one… Go God!
on another note, All this snow has got me thinkin…
This morning the first car I saw roll down my street was that of a postal worker as I was quickly reminded of their motto “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these coriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds”.
After reviewing their motto, I remember thinking that it sounds a lot like a motto about delivering the gospel out of the book of Acts 20:24 “…complete the task that the Lord Jesus has given me -the task of testifying of the gospel of God’s grace.”.
Talk about get me fired up for CHURCH tomorrow! Can’t wait to see you all @dcmetrochurch tomorrow! It’s gonna be cold, I mean cool!
Go God! pd

Pumped about this weekend as we have figured out a few different ways for us all to invite our friends and spread the word about DC Metro Church and the New Series we are starting this weekend called, “Where are you Going?”
Here goes a few ways to make inviting your friends to church – easy as pie:
- FACE BOOK – Awww Yeahhh! Face book is the best method yet to invite your friends to church. We also have made it even easier to do it for this weekend’s series kick off. Simply visit www.facebook.com/dcmetrochurch and invite your friends to the “Where are you going?” event listed on the DC Metro Church fan page.
- SIGNS – Have you seen the “Sign” to come to DC Metro Church? Chances are pretty good that everyone in the DC Metro Area has seen one of beautiful DC Metro Signs strewn all along our major roadways (Special Shout Out To Our SIGNS TEAM! You Guys Rock!) Well now you to can be a part of the Signs Action… We have two different signs avaliable at the resource center after both services on Sunday. We have the classic DC Metro Church Sign, as well as the brand new “Where Are You Going?” Signs. Im putting mine in my front yard today! Inviting my neighbors to church has never been easier…
- DC METRO INVITE CARDS - Rockin cool cards are avaliable at the resource center as well… We ahve both the “Where are you going?” Cards as well as the classic DC Metro Church Cards. I heard of one guy who just recently grabbed a whole stack and stuck them in all the mailboxes at his apartment complex – now that is Dangerous! Go God!
Inviting someone to church has always been part of the DNA of DC Metro Church. In fact, 36% of everyone who attends DC Metro started attending because a friend or family member invited them! I Love It This Stat!
Get ready for a great fall as we watch God expand the church while EXPANDING OUR HEARTS FOR HIM!
Go God!

OK So the above photo has nothing to do with this blog post accept it does have some great news – Isaac learned how to pedal – aren’t they cute! OK plus its father’s day this Sunday and I am their proud dad!
Blog Post starts here… - – Couple of great things going on at church that I was so pumped about – had to share them with you since we are doing the “12 Minutes of Prayer” P90X at church…
Here goes some cool ones for me personally:
- JESUS designed a new kitchen for us at IKEA (no really a guy named Jesus designed our kitchen at IKEA!) I thought that was cool because it is like the cheapest kitchen on the planet! (GO GOD – and the guy named Jesus at IKEA!) – OK so maybe this is just neat…
- BIG News – Kaci Calvaresi is Cancer Free! We have been praying for Kaci as a church for several months – and you guessed it, she has been given a clear bill of health! Go God!
- Multiple Good News – In the last month, There have been 4 babies born at DC Metro! Go God! Guess you could say that we are all about “populating the earth” at DC Metro… This is how committed we are to growing as a church – we multiply!
Here are some families to congratulate and some little ones to welcome:
Matt & Amber Streit ~ Baby Deacon
David & Aracely Garcia ~ Baby Diego
Mark & Keirsten Kelly ~ Baby Jake
Chris & Lisa Andres ~ Baby Blaise
I have also heard of some incredible things that God is doing in Marriages, Relationships, and in Personal Finances so lets keep pressing in as I know that God is on the move at DC Metro and in so many people’s lives due to the 12 Minutes of Prayer that we are committing to as a church.
Looking forward to seeing all of you this Sunday (Father’s Day!),
GO GOD!

PS – Send me your prayer requests and praise reports! Lets celebrate what God is doing together!!! pd

DC Sisterhood Rocks
I am so very proud of my wife, Taryn…
This tuesday night, the DC Sisterhood that she has been praying about – forever – will take its first Big Breath of Fresh – Sisterhood – Air… I know for so many of you ladies out there, it will be a huge breath of LIFE as you encounter God together…
For more information on this great event for women of ALL ages, you can email sisterhood@dcmetrochurch.org. or you can check out the latest updates, times, and directions at: www.dcmetrochurch.org/dc-sisterhood/ Also, dont forget to check out Taryn’s new and very cool looking blog: www.tarynstine.com
Looking forward to a great report that all was well at the Sisterhood meeting…
Guys,
If you are reading this and wondering how you can be a part of this great event I have two thoughts:
1. Offer to keep the kids for a night (I am taking the boys out for a cruise while taryn is out with the girls)
2. If you are single: Just PRAY that God is sending your future wife to this powerful gathering, and “NO” you cannot go – so add to that prayer a simple plea – - > that God would let you meet her AT CHURCH!
Fired-Up Women are ROCK FOR JESUS!
Bless You Guys and DC Sisterhood,
david

Well there is alot to cover in this short blog post – but here goes…
THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT WEEKEND FOR DC & DC METRO CHURCH!
30 Days To Live:
This weekend we will have part three of the 30 Days To Live Series where once again we will gain fresh perspective from God’s Word about a specific area that is sure to ignite our passion for Jesus all the more… With so many people coming into town this weekend for the inauguration – lets make an extra push to invite individuals to experience what God is doing at DC Metro again this Sunday!
Signs Team:
Speaking about inviting people to church on Sunday, be sure and say a prayer for the Signs Team. These guys work so hard to “usher” people from all over the metro area into the House of God… God use them mightily this weekend…
Awakening Fast – 21 Days Of Prayer And Fasting –
We are in Day 6 of our 21 Days of prayer and fasting and I could not be more proud of all of you for your committment to Jesus during this fast. I have already heard so many stories of God doing incredible things through this fast – but please continue to let me know as I am praying for big testimonies all month. One of the great things is that because of this fast – we will hear testimonies in DC Metro Church – ALL YEAR! GO GOD!
Also – if you have gotten discouraged about your fast… (very normal)
Remember 2 Things:
1. There is no such thing as the “Fasting Police” (In other words, if you have a moment of weakness it does not count against you! Simply modify your fast and jump back in…) (also – no one is trying to catch you giving in – Thank God!)
2. Remember that the Reward Is ETERNAL! Even if you do not see something happening right now – you are sowing seeds for the future – that you will reap. One of my favorite scriptures regarding this is Galatians 6:8 AMP “What we sow in the Spirit, we will reap in the Spirit.” Man are we going to reap some incredible things this year personally and as a church as we sow this time of fasting and prayer. GO GOD!
In a closing thought,
I am ready to change – and I know that you are too – so lets allow God to get a hold of our hearts like never before and use all of us together for something incredible this year…
So glad I am in this with you,
GO GOD!
David
