Catalyst

Catalyst

I went out of town for a great little “Educational” trip last week to Atlanta, Ga. It was a Pastor’s leadership conference called Catalyst. There were almost 11,000 other pastors at this conference many of whom I have met through the years of ministry…

I enjoyed listening to the various speakers, but there was one who stood out “head and shoulder” above the rest… His name is Rick Warren (Yelp, the guy who wrote the “Purpose Driven Life”) He impressed me the most as he shared his story of the church that he founded in the seventies called Saddleback Church in Cali. He shared some powerful stuff about how he started Saddleback Church with 6 people in his living room. He said that the church now (thirty years later) has some 100,000 members!

We believe God is going to do something similar with DC Metro Church! (I will let you know all of what God did in about thirty years!)

Rick asked the crowd two questions that have penetrated my thinking over the last few days, as he shared that they will be the two questions that God will ask when we get to Heaven:

1. What have you done with my Son Jesus?
2. What have you done with the what I have given to you?

For me, this was huge as I want to be able to say that I brought Jesus to millions of people all over the world and that I used everything that God has given me to do so… Help me Jesus!

What do you want to be able to say?

Love You Guys,

Hope Your Having a Great Week!
