Another Great Week at DC Metro Church and with our incredible launch team…
We had our first practice service this past weekend with Great Success! It was kinda like Christmas Morning as we all got to tear open all of the church’s new equipment and stuff… We also got to see our theater for the first time as a whole team, as well as learn how to use all the new equipment (ok so a little trial and error is expected, right?).
We had time to do a quick run through of a service as we had entitled the weekend our “First Practice Service!” We had a chance to Dedicate the building, theater, and equipment to the purposes of God. I used the scripture out of Genesis 28:16-17 “Surely the Lord is in thie place… How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; and the Gate of Heaven!” What a thought…
Although there were some things that went less than perfect in our first run through, I decided early on that is pretty hard criticize one of “God’s Miracles”, as we all felt that the morning was just another great example of God “Building His Church.” Psalms 127:1 States, “Unless the Lord builds the house, then the laborers labor in vain.” We believe that God is building His House and we just keep allowing Him to use us in order to do it with excellence every day!
Keep us in prayer as we will be sending out our first mailer tomorrow, as well as launching a great radio campaign. Thanks so much to our friends at Celebration Church of Jacksonville) where we will have one of the best radio spots scripted out by some real pros!
Also, Pray that God would send the 400 people to our first Sunday, September 9th… (9am and 10:15am)
