We are having a great time with the preparations for the church. Here are a few things that are going on:
- We had a very successful water bottle outreach on Thursday August 2nd. We spoke to hundreds of people about the new church and I think it is fair to say that we officially won over the children in this nightime outreach. In order to do this, we gave away “Glow Bracelets” and lets just say, “It was a huge hit.”
- Friday we had our second vision night at Ray and Summer Mobley’s house. It was a great time as the team bonded together better than ever, not to mention we met some great new friends of our launch team members. Overall it was a great time thanks to an incredible Launch Team! Good Job Guys and Gals!
- Saturday, Wheeeww, are you tired yet? We were, but at the Friendship Firehouse Festival in Old Town, we had our very best outreach yet… We handed out over 1100 water bottles and we successfully won over kids and parents with “Face Painting.” We painted over a hundred little faces with beatiful launch team art. You can check out some of our face painting masterpieces at our new DC Metro Church Myspace Page.
- Our next BIG EVENT is this week as we will be having a huge reception at Regent University in Old Town (Corner of Diagonal Rd. and King St.) If you know of anyone in the DC Metro Area that is looking to be a part of something big for God, then direct them to come to our “Vision Night” Reception on Friday Night from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. This should be a great time as we will be having finger foods, info about the new church, stuff for kids, and lots of fun for adults…
