Growing Free

Isaac. Taryn and I stole away for an afternoon on Saturday to see the famous home of our nation’s first president (For the historically challenged – George Washington…)Â Mount Vernon is quite an amazing site to behold and we got an annual pass just in case our wonderful family wants to go back (OK – we got suckered into buying the annual pass, but that is another story.)

The trip was great as weÂ learned many things about GW as well as the state ofÂ Viriginia. andÂ there was one quote by Washington that stuck out more than the others.Â

“Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth.”

That reminded me of Galations 5 which begins by stating: “It is for Freedom that Christ has set us free!”

Isnt it amazing how when a heart/life gets free, it is releasedÂ toÂ obtain Rapid Growth!Â WeÂ have seen several people so far on our launch team that have been slowed down in life for whatever reason, who are nowÂ gettingÂ set free in life and who are now expereincingÂ Rapid Growth!Â Â

It is always good to ask ourselves what area of our lives needs a littleÂ freedom (This is usually the area that also needs rapid growth…)Â What area of your life needs freedom?

How about releasing it over to GodÂ and allow His freedom to take root in your life today?,

“Rapid Growth” is the most perfect set of words to explain what God does to your life when He finally knows that He has your life completely. I am an “all or nothing” kind of person. When I was out of church, endulged in a sinful life, I was all in it. But when God touched me and I started going back to church, that was it for me. Suddenly those sinful things, were of no interest to me, and neither were the friends I did them with…(which by the way, when they saw the change in me literally told me, “I don’t think I can be friends with the person you are becoming.” To that, I was fine to let them go.) But when God knew my heart was open and ready-ready for it all-boy, did He start moving and He hasn’t slowed down yet. :0) One of my close friends, who actually introduced me to Celebration Church, and I often joke about how God got us moving and He removed the breaks from our car, and the emergency break, because He knew that if we had the slighest chance to slow down, He might lose us. So, we are speeding through with no breaks and waiting for the BIG PLANS that only God could have prepared for us.

I pray that you and your family are doing well in DC and God will truly Bless your ministry.
