Well it has been some time since I have posted as we have been away from internet and, for the most part, our phones as well… Although disconnected from the outside world we have been quite connected to each other and Jesus. It has been a great time to connect with family members and old friends as well as spend lots of time in prayer for our rapidly approaching season of partnering with so many others in the launch of DCMetroChurch.
We have been praying for many things during this pit stop in our transition, as God has met us around every corner with many individuals with us through prayer and many have partnered financially as well. We are greatful as we feel very much like missionaries preparing for a long mission in some foreign country, exciting times…
There are many of things that we could be a little anxious about, but the verses that continue to encourage us along the road are found in Philippians 4:6-9 which states:
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me–put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
I pray this over all of you as well as God’s Peace has been with us in an unexplainable way…
