Ministry w/ My Girl

Ministry w/ My Girl

I spoke at LateNite this evening on “A Few Things I Have Learned…” It was great to get to be in there with the most fired up crew in Jacksonville.

I had a great time as I preached on a few things that I want to impart in my son, and some things that our Father God wants to impart into us as well. If you missed the service be sure and check-out the podcast to get a little bit of LateNite on your itunes. Taryn was ministering with me this evening also, she shared a great scripture during prayer time (Moment: There are not many things better than doing ministry together with her) Thank God for a wife that is fired-up for God!!! ~(Love You T!)~I hope you all had a great night!Bless You, David

New Book

New Book

Hey you guys out there, a great book for you on the opposite sex, yes that is right women… Seeing that relationships is one of my favorite topics to talk about, I have read tons of books on relationship, of which most have the exact same things to say. Seldom is there a new novel bookk out there that has some great new info about relationships that really messes me up, this is one of them…

The book is all based on stats so that it a very unbiased view of the stuff us guys do not fully understand about women… Dubbed a, “A strait forward guide to the inner lives of women…” This is a great read for you guys, if you are single or married. It is never too early to start studying up on the other side…

Also, there is a women’s version (For Women Only, on my book roll, listed by Taryn!) for all you ladies out there that I know will help you as well. Taryn and I are reading them together and already I can see that they make a great couple’s study also…

Enjoy,

David

The Stine’s Sunday

The Stine's Sunday

In between two great services at Celebration Church we took a few of our DCMetroChurch Launch Team members over to visit another local church called Grace Fellowship. Although we could not stay for their full service, we did get the full tour of the behind the scenes at Tinseltown, in Southside where they meet (Thanks so much for everything Grace Fellowship, You guys are awesome). We went over there to meet with their team and see how church can be done in a movie theater. What a cool concept, Church in a movie theater!

After checking out their service to get some ideas we went back and attended Celebration Church’s second service, where Pastor Stovall delivered an incredible word about inviting people to church! Another cool concept, go figure! This after noon instead of taking our traditional (classic) after church nap at the Stine house, We decided to take our son Isaac to the beach! He was a little reluctant at first, but after eating about four handfuls of sand he started to warm up to the concept. I think that he was amazed that not only was everyone wearing the same amount of clothes that he prefers to wear (almost nothing) but mostly, that everyone there was there to Play (Which is his favorite word, and activity, and hobby as well.) It made for a great day for him and us.I hope everyone had a great day as well.Go God!David

Three and One

Three and One

I love the fact that I have two great reasons to take a new family photo each year. They include my wonderful wife Taryn and my handsome son Isaac. I hope you enjoy this photo as much as me. It seems just yesterday that Taryn and I were just meeting for the first time. Now some 9 years later we are one (Married) and now we are three (with Isaac) and one.

Hope you guys are having a great week,

The Stines

Sold It!

Sold It!

Well,

God is really lining things up for our move to DC… I will give just a few brief quick miracles that are going on right now.

Here they go:

o The Website is up and running. Although it does not have all the content or the bells and whistles running yet, at least you can see the “look” that it is going to have as well as a three step system (bottom of page) that visitors can quickly find out what to do when they come to “Metro”. So Be sure and check out the new look at DCMetroChurch.org.

o This is a BIG ONE, Ready… We Sold Our House… Yes that is right, sold it! 21 days on the market and it is sold. In today’s market we have just been overly excited at the fact that God has made this happen for us… Thank You God!

o With that said, we could be moving to DC sooner than later… More to come on that soon. Please Pray…

Church Planters Roundtable

Church Planters Roundtable

I am in Birmingham this week attending what I believe to be the best church planting 101 avaliable today. It is called the Church Planters Roundtable and it is held by the Association of Related Churches at the Church of the Highlands. I will be taking notes from one of the best church planters around, Pastor Chris Hodges and the head overseer of ARC, Pastor Billy Horsby. I am sure it will prove to be a great weekend.

Strangly enough it is the second time I have attended this conference… Taryn and I attended this conference in 2003 as we were gearing up for a church plant in DC at that time. Thank God we followed His lead and waited until He was ready to move us north… God’s timing is always the best, I mean blessed!

Also, Taryn spoke at Celebration Women (ON: Being a Confident Women) at our Deerwood Campus this morning (I heard it was Great!), I will be posting it on the podcast for all to hear soon…

Bless You Guys,

David
