A morning at one of my favorite places...

I am just hanging out here at one of my favorite places. I am sitting at the south gates of LSU at a famous coffee shop that I used to hang out at all the time when I went to LSU. It is called Highland Coffees and they have the world’s best Granita Latte!

When visiting a place like this that I used to spend so much time in the past, my mind begins to wonder… Right outside the front door of this coffee shop was where I went on my first witnessing outreach. Can I say, It was brutal! I remember that I stood infront of this one bar (called the Bayou) that I used to go to, attempting to tell people about Jesus and what Had done for me. Lets just say that my attitude was great, my ambition was high, and my mission was very clear. Unfortunately, my effectiveness was a big ZERO!

How could people not take to the message? The problem was not the message, it was the mode of communication! OUCH! After all, this was not how I became receptive to the Gospel…

Memories like this poured into my mind of how gracious God has been about my earlier, less tactful, attempts to spread the Gospel in my own way! Thank God for Tact!

And thank God for Granita Lattes,

David Isaac
