I am just hanging out here at one of my favorite places. I am sitting at the south gates of LSU at a famous coffee shop that I used to hang out at all the time when I went to LSU. It is called Highland Coffees and they have the world’s best Granita Latte!
When visiting a place like this that I used to spend so much time in the past, my mind begins to wonder… Right outside the front door of this coffee shop was where I went on my first witnessing outreach. Can I say, It was brutal! I remember that I stood infront of this one bar (called the Bayou) that I used to go to, attempting to tell people about Jesus and what Had done for me. Lets just say that my attitude was great, my ambition was high, and my mission was very clear. Unfortunately, my effectiveness was a big ZERO!
How could people not take to the message? The problem was not the message, it was the mode of communication! OUCH! After all, this was not how I became receptive to the Gospel…
Memories like this poured into my mind of how gracious God has been about my earlier, less tactful, attempts to spread the Gospel in my own way! Thank God for Tact!
And thank God for Granita Lattes,
David Isaac

Just grabbing a second to write about a great day as I sit here in the Jacksonville Airport as I wait for the fifth hour for my VERY delayed Airplane. Truly though I am thankful that I am not on it, as I hear that it is broke-down. I am not sure when I will end up to my destination, but I am sure eager to see the people on the other end of this journey.
I will be spending the next week or so with my wonderful family in Louisiana. They thought that I was going to be in this evening, but I guess that there will be different as I hear that I may not arrive until tomorrow.
I have not been home in quite some time, and have decided to go down for Thanksgiving ahead of my wonderful wife and son.
Here is the call, Finally they are boarding… You know that you flight is delayed a long time when people stand up and clap for the arrival!
Go God!

Well after three years, make that thirty one years (It seems), I am finally at the end of my dissertation journey. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would be completing a Doctoral Program. The defense date that we have been praying for was given to us, so 2pm on December 8th Taryn, Isaac, and I will be at Regent University to defend my dissertation for two hours with my distinguised panel of three doctoral professors (dissertation committee).
I really am looking forward to completing this process due in part to the incredible project that I ahve done my dissertation on. It is none other than the EDJ College of Jacksonville, Florida. Right now we are in year two of the EDJ College that was started to help young aspiring ministers gain the practical skills they need for ministry while obtaining an Associates Degree in Theology. In this program right now are 18 incredible students. Taryn and I are really looking forward to going with these students to NYSUM in December for their New York Missions Trip. By that time I am hoping that EDJ as a Dissertation Project will be completed.
Just keep praying for me to “finish well!”

Newton said, in his third law of motion, “for every action there is an equal but opposite reation.” I am looking forward to see how well this law applies to relationships tonite as we launch our very energizing new series at LateNite tonite called Kinetic!
Saturday:
Today has been a great day for me… I was able to hang out with Taryn and Isaac in a really cool little area of Jacksonville called Avondale. Taryn likes to eat at this restraunt called Biscottis. It is a “fru-fru” place, but Isaac and I did not mind, too much! Overall it has been a sleepy Satur-day as we are ready for an exciting “Nite” at church…
See You there…

Looking forward to a great weekend at LateNite. It seems like all this new stuff started coming in all at the same time for LateNite. We have been talking about getting a new website for LateNite for so long now (Over a Year) and we finally have the finished project (Thanks to Debbie Lindsay, Alex Tran, and Clint Hershey.) Way to go team! They have put together what I believe to be the very best website we could have ever hoped for (With new features being added in the coming weeks) You can check out the cool new site at www.lateniteparty.com.
Also, we have had some great series lately… Last week we concluded the “Re:You - Emails from God regarding You!” Series which was so creative, thanks to some great ideas from the LateNite Creative Team. I am very excited about the new series that starts this weekend. It is called: “Kinetic: The Energy of Relationships…” I am excited to see how this series goes and what the creative team has up their sleeves for this weekend’s opener…
Until then!
